Alyse Eady joined Fox 5’s Good Day Atlanta this week.
“Alyse is a perfect addition to our ‘Good Day’ team,” Fox 5 Vice President and General Manager Bill Schneider said in a statement posted on the station’s web site. “Her passion for news and love of community will make our morning team even stronger.”
Fox 5 named Eady to the “Good Day Atlanta” team after the departure of Gurvir Dhindsa in April, AJC radio-TV reporter Rodney Ho reported previously. (He’s on vacation this week).
Previously, Eady was Miss Arkansas and named first runner up representing the state in the 2011 Miss America pageant, Rodney’s earlier report noted.
Her talent was singing ventriloquism and involved yodeling. She’s really good at it, too! Check out this clip:
Fox 5’s statement says Eady is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, and is working on a communications masters degree from Purdue University. She’s active with the Boys and Girls Club of America and plans to to work with the organization’s Atlanta’s chapter.
“With all of the friendly people here and the southern hospitality, I already feel right at home,” she said in a statement.
