“Dorie is a golden retriever puppy, born June 26, 2016 and was with her litter mates at the time she was taken from the facility. Her litter mates are all accounted for and not harmed,” the organization said in a social media post asking for help locating and returning the puppy.

Canine Assistants provides service dogs for children and adults who have physical disabilities, seizure conditions or other special needs.

The organization has launched a special Facebook page in hopes of reaching someone who recognizes Dorie and can help secure her return.

“Please help us find Dorie and bring her back to her home at Canine Assistants, where she will continue her education to become a service dog,” the page’s mission statement says.
