After the pre-storm bread frenzy, it’s time for French toast


With the threat of a winter storm looming, Atlanta ran out to buy bread. Like, pretty much all of it.

This was the barren scene at bread aisles in many metro area grocery stores while we were still looking down the barrel of Winter Storm Helena.

Now that Helena is on her way without too much of a calamity, what to do with all that bread? French toast, of course. Al Stilo of Gwinnett County got to work promptly putting his family’s storm supply to good use.
